ISP students are involved in a full spectrum of scientific research at Northwestern. This research is exciting, but excitement is only one reason that it is an integral part of ISP. The experience of making new connections, defining problems and testing hypotheses, and working collaboratively is essential preparation for a career in science. The perspective you'll get working side by side with graduate students and professors in your field will be invaluable to you when choosing a specialization or a graduate school. ISP students have published research in professional journals and presented papers at national conferences.
